The Observatory site is on the top of a hill in the small village of Pino Torinese, 9 kms from Torino city center and 6 kms from Chieri city center.

From Piazza Vittorio Veneto (blue arrow on map 1), cross Vittorio Emanuele Bridge, in front of the Gran Madre Church, then turn left and drive along Corso Casale for 2,5 kms. In Piazza Marco Aurelio turn right and follow the "old road" to Pino Torinese (Corso Chieri, then Via Torino) till the top of the hill (5 kms). 
After the sign "Pino Torinese", continue for a hundred meters, then turn right (Via Pietra del Gallo) and then right again in Via Osservatorio. 
After 1,5 km you will arrive to the Observatory (red arrow on maps 1 and 2). You can also follow the Strada Statale n. 10 al Traforo di Pino, towards Chieri.

from the Motorway Milano-Torino (A4)

After the tollgate, continue to drive till the end of the motorway, and take the direction "Centro città". Drive along Corso Giulio Cesare till the crossroads with Lungo Stura Lazio, then turn left (see map 4).
Go till the end of Lungo Stura Lazio and then continue straight in Corso Casale.
When you arrive in Piazza Marco Aurelio turn left and follow the "old road" to Pino Torinese (Corso Chieri, then Via Torino) till the top of the hill (5 kms). From here follow the same directions given above.

If you arrive at the main station Torino Porta Nuova, the simplest way to reach the Observatory is take a taxi.

Otherwise you can take a bus to Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the big square (blue arrow on the map). From Porta Nuova Station you can take n. 15 or 61. From Porta Susa Station you can take n. 13, 55 or 56.

In Piazza Vittorio Veneto take n. 30 to Chieri, get off in Pino Torinese (stop Via Pietra del Gallo) and then walk for 1,5 km till the end of Via Osservatorio. For more information on departures of bus number 30 please to to Azienda Torinese Mobilità (ATM) web pages.

... by plane

From Caselle International Airport you can take the SADEM bus to Torino, that stops in Porta Susa and Porta Nuova Railroad Stations: the trip duration is about 40 mins, with buses every 30-45 mins depending on hours. From the Stations you can go to Piazza Vittorio Veneto and then to Pino Torinese with bus number 30 (see above).

Otherwise you can take the new train from Caselle Airport to SATTI Dora Station (one train every 30 mins, 20 mins trip). When you are in Dora Station take a bus to Porta Susa Station (49, 46 or 46barrato), then go to Piazza Vittorio Veneto (nr. 13, 55 o 56) and then go to Pino Torinese with bus number 30.
